00′ RD Slantback

Description

This truck was purchased directly from AM General in 2017 by us and it was driven for a few years by an AM General GEP Engineer. While it was originally a Wagon, it was converted to a Slantback using all genuine original factory AM General parts. Only 39 Slantbacks were produced by AM General and there are only about 14 known trucks that were converted using all genuine factory AM General Parts. This truck was build with the last remaining Genuine Factory Parts known to exist.Once purchased, it received a total, completely documented frame off restoration using all new Factory AM General Parts and RD 4×4 Accessories over the course of two years. Every system was completely rebuilt or replaced with no expense spared. Every Nut, Bolt, Screw and Washer throughout the Suspension and Frame were replaced. Any and all Factory or RD improvements were installed during the build. 100’s of pictures from the start of the build as well as all improvements were documented. The Truck currently has 40 hours on it since completion of the restoration.The Frame was completely disassembled, Sandblasted, coated with POR-15, top-coated and reassembled with new Grade 8 and/or stainless (where applicable) hardware.The Engine is a RD Built P-400 that was built and Dyno’ed on the assembly line @ GEP with the following upgrades;

• RD Super 77 Turbo
• RD Intercooler
• RD HO Fuel Injectors
• Raptor Fuel Pump
• Total-Seal Gapless Piston Rings
• ARP Head Studs
• Fluid Damper Harmonic Balancer

The Transmission was replaced with a 4L85E , new NP242 AMG T-case and Factory Eaton Lockers front and Rear.The Interior was completely stripped and all panels covered with Black distressed vinyl with Katskin Tooled Leather accents insired by the Dodge Ram Longhorn Interior. All of the Bezels were replaced with RD Aluminum Bezels that were polished and clearcoated. All of the Seats were replaced and the Driver Seat is Air-ride. Suede Leather Headliners and full carpet were also installed.There are way too many upgrades to list but a few of the highlights that are not obvious are;
